North Edinburgh Illustrated Map
This iIllustrated Map commissioned by the National Galleries of Scotland was created to highlight active travel routes in Granton, a district in the north of Edinburgh Scotland.
Granton forms part of Edinburgh’s waterfront along the Firth of Forth and the map created was used during the Walk Wheel Cycle Event hosted by the North Edinburgh Active Travel Community as a creative route connecting the seven different points of interest/events that was offered during the event.
The reduced chosen colors was to emphasize the route its self that connects points of interest in the area and other main buildings such as primary schools and parks to facilitate the orientation for the locals. Two different routes was chosen to be highlighted, one for scenic and another with fast shortcuts. An info graphic showing the Activities, Locations was also provided as graphic material for the event.
