An illustrated Map commissioned by the National Galleries of Scotland for the NEAT Community Waslk Wheel Cycle Weekend Event.

The map features North Edinburgh, specifically the Granton area and part of the city’s waterfront along the Firth of Forth. The event was hosted by the North Edinburgh Active Travel Community, and the illustration was used as an infographic to share on social media, showing the activities and the event map with the available routes connecting the seven different points of interest/events offered during the event.

The chosen reduced color palette was used to emphasize the route itself, which connects points of interest in the area and other main buildings such as primary schools and parks, facilitating orientation for the locals. Two different routes were highlighted: one scenic and another with fast shortcuts.
