How do I commission an illustration?

What can you illustrate?

I specialise in architectural and place-based illustrations, including homes, landmarks, cityscapes, businesses, wedding venues, and other meaningful locations.

Can you work from photographs?

Yes. Most commissions are created using photographs supplied by the client. The more reference images you can provide, the better.

How much does a commission cost?

Each project is unique, so pricing depends on the size, level of detail, and intended use. Personalised illustrations start from £50, but I am happy to provide a personalised quote with no obligation.

How long does a commission take?

Timescales vary depending on the project and my current workload. Most commissions are completed within 2–6 weeks.

Can I commission artwork as a gift?

Absolutely. Custom illustrations make wonderful gifts for birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, housewarmings, and other special occasions.

Do you offer commercial commissions?

Yes. I work with businesses, organisations, hospitality venues, and cultural institutions. Please get in touch to discuss your project and usage requirements.

Will I see the artwork before it is finished?

Yes. For most commissions, I provide an initial sketch or draft for approval before completing the final artwork.
